Our Rules

Please keep these rules in your golf bag.

PREFERRED LIES (Local Rule)
Roll ball 2-3 inches in fairway. Cannot move in rough.

GIMMEE PUTTS (Local Rule)
Give putts (for 1 stroke) within 12 inches of the cup.

FREE DROP
Find nearest point of relief and measure one club length no nearer hole.

  • Casual Water (fairway, rough, green and bunker)
  • Mound on Fourth Hole (center of Fairway)
  • Ground under repair (white circled areas).
  • Cart paths, service roads, immovable objects except out of bound markers.

OUT OF BOUNDS
White stakes and all fences. Replay ball from spot originally hit adding one stroke penalty

LOST BALL
Same as above. If in doubt if ball is lost or out of bounds hit a provisional ball. If original ball is found it must be played

RED STAKES
Lateral water hazard. Ball placed where it entered water…no nearer hole. One stroke penalty

YELLOW STAKES
Water hazard. Ball must be hit from place last hit. One stroke penalty.

GREEN STAKES
Environmentally Safe Area. Ball is dropped 2 club lengths outside staked area, no closer to hole. One stroke penalty.

HITTING WRONG BALL
Stroke play. 2 stroke penalty. Hit another ball from place where wrong ball was hit. If both players hit wrong ball both players receive 2 stroke penalty and hit from original location.

HITTING FLAGSTICK OR OBJECTS ON GREEN (including ball)
There is a two stroke penalty in stroke play. If you hit another player’s ball she replaces her ball in original position. You play your ball where it ends up.

UNPLAYABLE LIE
Player may declare ball unplayable anywhere except in a water hazard taking one stroke penalty. Options are:

  1. Return to spot where last shot taken and replay.
  2. Move ball one club length no nearer hole.
  3. Go back as far as you want in a straight line keeping the unplayable spot between you and hole.

LOCAL MONDAY NIGHT RULE FOR THE 8TH HOLE
If your ball lands in the water on the 8th hole you have 3 options:

  1. You may hit from the tee. 1 stroke penalty.
  2. You may hit at point of entry. 1 stroke penalty.
  3. You may hit from drop area across the bridge to the right in the rough, 1 stroke penalty.

LOCAL MONDAY NIGHT RULE FOR 9TH HOLE
If tee shot lands in environmental area, you have 3 options:

  1. Hit another ball from tee (hitting 3),
  2. Hit another ball from drop area in front of red tees (hitting 3), or
  3. Hit another ball from short rough on left on other side of bridge (hitting 3).
